Thank You

Greetings dear friends!

I just wanted to reach out and say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for the love, prayers and support you have lent over the past few weeks.

As many of you know, shortly after we went into recess from the 2020 legislative session to deal with this pandemic, I tested positive for the coronavirus. While I have fully recovered and am back to work, I will tell you that undergoing something of this nature certainly puts things in perspective.

Firstly, I want to thank God for healing me, His grace and mercy overflow. While I know COVID-19 is to be taken seriously, experiencing this virus firsthand, reaffirmed that we have taken the proper actions to ensure our citizens are kept safe from this very contagious condition.  

Secondly, I want to thank my family and friends for their unwavering love, support and most importantly their prayers. It was incredibly humbling to feel so much love from so many. I read every message, email, text, listened to every voicemail- multiple times. Hearing from you was pivotal in helping me focus on my recovery while staying positive.

In closing, I leave you with this- If you have family members who are elderly or friends who live alone, check on them. Make sure they are doing OK. The mental battle of isolation is very real as I can attest during quarantine away from my immediate family. And please, please, please take this seriously by staying home and following protocol. I know it is difficult now, but these simple actions will help us recover that much more quickly.

I will send more COVID-19 updates later in the week, but for now, I just wanted to share with you my heartfelt thanks and gratitude for each and every one of you.
